SureToMeet was created to help two groups of people grow communities based on common interests:
- Event organizers — SureToMeet helps event organizers promote their events, collect registration fees for paid events, and manage their database of members and prospects.
- Individuals looking for events — SureToMeet's local events calendar makes it easy to find events and activities to attend that meet your interests. It's also the quick and easy way to let an event organizer — and friends — know you'll be attending an event.
SureToMeet is free for groups and organizations to promote events and meetings via the Web and e-mail.
In addition, the SureToMeet event registration service that collects payment via credit card is an inexpensive premium service.
Management
Cliff Allen — CEO
Cliff established one of the first high-tech advertising/PR firms that provided marketing communications services to companies selling software, hardware, electronics, data communications, and telecommunications products. His firm's high-tech clients included Microsoft, IBM, FiberLAN, T3 Technologies, Digital Recorders, and Interpath.
His Internet experience began in 1989 when his firm was one of the first marketing companies using the Internet.
His most recent book is One-to-One Web Marketing, 2nd Edition (John Wiley & Sons) that includes chapters on personalization, databases, and related topics. He writes articles about Web marketing on topics related to personalization, e-mail marketing, marketing databases, and data mining. He has written a weekly column on Precision Marketing for ClickZ.com, as well as articles for other marketing magazines. He continues to write about marketing at Allen.com.
Today, Cliff guides the development and marketing of SureToMeet.com, as well as blogs about networking and event marketing on SureToMeet's blog.
