Celebrity Chef - Michael Chiarello



The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts presents an evening with Michael
Chiarello, Emmy-winning host of Food Network's Easy Entertaining,
proprietor of Chiarello Family Vineyards and chef/owner of the highly
acclaimed restaurant Bottega on Thurs. Mar. 25, 2010 at 7:00 pm. The
event will be held at the Osher Marin JCC in San Rafael as a part of the
JCC's Fabulous Foodie series. The JCC's guest host for the evening will
be the Bay Area's favorite food blogger, Marcia Gagliardi aka "the
tablehopper".

The theme of the evening will be a "Roman Feast" and discussion will
include:
~ Fun, Roman dishes that are timely for various upcoming holidays
~ spring menu items with Roman theme~ 2 demos + tastings
~ Discussion including why Bottega is such a success/ why people love it/
Farm-to table ethos/ bounty of the Napa Valley/ Michael's forthcoming
cookbook (launching in the early fall!)~ Pouring of Chiarello Family
Vineyards wine~ Audience Q & A/ Sales and signing of Michael's cookbooks
and Marcia's new "The Tablehopper's Guide to Dining and Drinking in San
Francisco."

Michael Chiarello is a nationally renowned award-winning chef. He is
chef/owner of his highly acclaimed restaurant Bottega Napa Valley,
Emmy-winning Food Network host, tastemaker behind the NapaStyle retail
company, highly rated vintner of Chiarello Family Vineyards, and noted
cookbook author. Marcia Gagliardi is a freelance food writer who lives in
San Francisco. She publishes a popular weekly e-column about the local
restaurant scene called "the tablehopper" (subscribe for free at
tablehopper.com) and is the author of "The Tablehopper's Guide to Dining
and Drinking in San Francisco: Find the Right Spot for Every Occasion"
(Ten Speed Press, March 2010).
