Nonprofit Festival
The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce will once again showcase over 40 different charities and worthy organizations at its Nonprofit Festival scheduled on Saturday, February 23, 2007 from 10 am until 3 pm at the Third Street Promenade. This FREE family-friendly event will give community members the opportunity to collect information, talk to actual people involved with each nonprofit, and even sign up to be a volunteer on the spot. Adding to the festivities, clever attendees who correctly answer clues attached to their Nonprofit Guide booklets have a chance to win various raffle prizes.
The Nonprofit Festival, made its debut in 2006 after the chamber decided to address the dozens of phone calls it received on a weekly basis from residents and community members interested in getting involved with worthy causes.
