Description
|
Thank you all for an incredible networking mixer last week! We had so many people in attendance and I know that BIG connections were made! In fact, since so many of you have emailed us and shared feedback, we are even considering hosting another one next quarter! Thank you all for your support! We look forward to hearing from each of you who shared your Wednesday evening with us.
Now, as for our meeting this week, please remember that RSVP's are VITAL to ensuring that everyone can be accommodated. There are a limited amount of spaces available and priority will be given to those who RSVP and visitors who pay their registration in advance.
Message to guests:
1. As we have an exciting average of 4-6 visitors per meeting, we sometimes have more than one person representing the same industry. If you (or someone you know) would like to attend, please review our member listing down below to confirm that your business does not conflict with an existing member.
2. While the meeting begins at 11:30, we have noticed an increase in participants arriving after 11:45 when the doors have closed. With the meeting formally starting at 11:45, there is sufficient time for each attendee to be served lunch and network. We are all professionals and understand that things come up but coming in when the meeting has started and serving yourself during our featured marketers presentation is very disruptive. In order to respect the members of the group in addition to WIN's meeting guidelines, individuals arriving after 11:45 will not be permitted to relay their marketing moment nor serve themselves lunch until the meeting adjourns.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Do any of these questions sound familiar?:
o "I could really benefit from new business opportunities, especially when the prospects are already waiting for my call."
o "Cold-calling can be so challenging: I know my services are great fit for the prospect but the gatekeeper just won't hear me out."
o "I'm a small-business owner with very limited capital. Is low-cost advertising with high-impact results even possible these days?"
o "I want to expand my customer database but new customer acquisition using traditional advertising methods have enormous upfront costs but don't promise any return."
o "I need(ed) help on a business issue/project but I don't know who would be willing to help."
o "It's difficult to juggle my time between trying to meet other professionals and cultivate friendships while generating new business."
o "Networking meetings are a good concept but I've handed out cards but quality business opportunities are hit-or-miss. Even more, there were several guests from the same industry."
Did any of these statements resonate with you? If so, you NEED to join us this Thursday from 11:30-1PM and experience first-hand our unique, action-packed meeting.
This is NOT the typical social luncheon! Instead of leaving with a lingering question as to whether your time was well-spent versus wasted, we have crafted a unique agenda designed to *ensure* your lunch hour packs a business-minded, motivational punch!!
How does this happen? We believe in "how can I help you," NOT "what's in it for me." We all need help in one way or another - even if we don't realize it. Through a willingness to share our strengths with others and help establish the seeds in another's success, we are able to build our own credibility through selfless generosity. In turn, we make ourselves available for others to contribute their strengths and help cultivate seeds in our own business for development and growth. Wow! Who couldn't use that?
RSVP's are very much appreciated, even if you cannot attend or if a member will be having an auxiliary member representing you.
Meeting/Organization Purpose:
o Train & develop an accountable, extended sales team
o Provide solid business opportunities
o Cultivate relationships
o Receive guidance needed to work through business challenges
o Establish & utilize an extended resource network spanning years of experience & countless topics
o Offer educational workshops for business development as well as personal growth
o As we are a membership-based organization, industry slots may be filled and limit your ability to present to the group as a whole. If you are a visitor, please include your industry description when RSVPing.
o If you are interested in being a part of our group, we'd be happy to send you the details on membership. We take ourselves and our time seriously and are always seeking like-minded female professionals to contribute to our great group!
Additional info:
o Timeliness is key!
o If you arrive beyond 11:45, you will forfeit the opportunity to present your marketing moment to the group and will only be able to participate in the training exercise.
o Bring plenty of business cards or other materials.
o Members ($9/pp) and non-members ($14-17/pp depending on registration date) will get a fantastic, healthy lunch & beverage. Selections have -previously- included chicken salad w/ pecan & cherries, fresh fruit salad, tuna salad, turkey, avocado & bacon wrap or light pasta salad w/vinaigrette. Tax, tip + beverage included. You have the opportunity to mix and match the lunch options available to the group.
o This group is enthusiastically co-lead by Taryn Pisaneschi, owner of Lenox Chem-Dry, Marietta Chem-Dry (www.lenoxcd.com) and Atlanta Leather Care & Repair, along with Marie Pijanowski, Senior Manager & Lifestyle Director of the Midtown Athletic Club at Windy Hill.
o NOTE: if you have special dietary restrictions or requests, please email us in advance.
**Remember to ink us in! April 3, 10 and 17. We meet the first three Thursday's of each month.
**I CHALLENGE YOU** PROACTIVE REFERRALS VERSUS REACTIVE: I am posting a brainstorming list of good prospects for our WIN members so that members and visitors alike can be proactive in looking over this list and seeing if you could warm up a referral before the meeting on Thursday instead of being reactive. How many bonafide referrals can you warm up for your fellow members before Thursday? I challege each of you to warm up -one- referral for another member. Look through your rolodexes, think outside of the box - I know we've got so much power amongst us as a whole and I know that this can help unleash it.... I'm just an email away in case you need some direction. :)
Chris Adams – Metro Brokers GMAC Real Estate - new home buyer or someone looking to get their home ready for sale.
Heni Anderson - Savvy Passenger Travel Services A great referral for her would be someone planning a family reunion or a corporate contact who handles travel arrangements for their staff.
Ellen Chaffee- Balloons and Events Over Atlanta Looking for businesses wanting to promote an event such as Naomi’s anniversary as well as thank you gifts and baskets for clients. She is also looking for people who have an upcoming event and don’t have the time to deal with a dozen vendors.
Dr Linda Crawford - Total Health Chiropractic – accident victims, whiplash, migraines, etc.
Marilyn Dooley - Telco Management - A small business owner who has office space or has a need for business phone and IT lines would be great... Do you know someone who just moved office spaces? What about someone just starting up a business?
Patty Binns-Farinola - PFCoaching Patty specializes in helping singles find their ideal mate. Do you have any single female friends who just can't seem to find "the one"? Refer them to her! She's got a great track record!
Susan Honrath - our newest member providing heavenly massages! If you or someone you know has achey muscles, consider a massage as this one will surely make their day!
Karen Jaramillo - Franklin Delk Office Furnishings. A great referral for her would be a new or expanding business.
Diana Kirscher – Sarah Coventry Jewelry - do you know someone getting married? Their jewelry would be great
bridesmaids gifts, bridal showers and anniversary items.
Marjorie McDonald - Masters Designer. You can help her by referring her to someone looking to revamp their wardrobe by cleaning out the closet, fixing or altering the items they would like to keep and understanding why certain things look better than others.
Angel Melko – Melaleuca - Anyone you know who buys cleaning products from the store could benefit from some information about her healthy cleaning items. What about new parents? They should NOT be using toxic chemicals when cleaning clothes, kitchens and bathrooms!
Marie Pijanowski - Midtown Athletic Club – Anyone you know in the Marietta area can get one of her free 1 week trial passes to the club. Seeing is believing! Remember that not only is she a co-leader but has a full-time sales position!
Taryn Pisaneschi – Lenox Chem-Dry / Marietta Chem-Dry- As we’re now offering stone and tile care as well as leather
restoration, I would love a chance to show each WIN member and visitor what we can do. We’re offering 10% off our new services through September. Most grout is never sealed so if you have granite countertops, bathrooms, kitchens and even concrete walkways, give us a chance to show you our patented magic! Don't forget about the leather restoration too!
Bonnie Ross-Parker – The Joy of Connecting - any potential JOC attendees would be good for her as well as anyone who might be good to start a JOC – whether it be in Atlanta or out of town.
Simone Stefan - World Financial Group - Anyone looking to get a grasp on their finances
Susan Thomas – Juice Plus - Ladies – we all know that many people don’t get enough fruits and vegetables. Do you have a friend who constantly takes a handful of vitamins and supplements? That could be an easy referral to warm up.
Auxiliary:
Diane Border, AFLAC, Disability and supplemental insurance
BJ Corpening, Bread of Life, Personal Chef
Jeanne Smokler, Bioslife, Alternative solution to cholesterol reduction
When women work together, we WIN!
