ODC/Dance Downtown: World Premiere of 'Labor of Love'
RESERVE THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT!
"ODC's choreography is a reflection of the American spirit. Take a risk. Make a dare. Leap." - San Francisco Chronicle
At the opening night of Program 2, KT Nelson premieres her newest work: "Labor of Love." Set to Mozart's Piano Concerto in D Minor, "Labor of Love" explores the hard work of long term love, celebrating it despite its challenges and moments of discord. Be dazzled by ODC's dancing. Be moved by Mozart's music.
Program 2 is rounded out by repertory favorites "Something About a Nightingale," quirky, delightful and set to music by the wonderfully inventive Tin Hat Trio, and 2009's smash hit "In the Memory of the Forest," Brenda Way's moving multimedia meditation on resilience.
Join ODC's choreographers, dancers and collaborators on Friday March 19 for the premiere of "Labor of Love." The dancing continues beyond the stage at the VERGE After Party with drinks, DJs and the company of fellow dance fans.
