Small Plates at ODC/Dance Downtown
5:30pm wine and appetizers | 6:30pm performance
This a great opportunity for the curious and uninitiated to try a "taste" of contemporary dance. Grab a friend and come after work for complimentary wine and appetizers in the YBCA lobby before ODC's special one hour performance.
What will I see at Small Plates? "Something About a Nightingale" - a quirky, delightful piece set to music by the wonderfully inventive Tin Hat Trio.
"River" - In a raw and unrestrained vocabulary, this award winning quartet explores the landscape of domestic turmoil and solace found in nature.
"24 Exposures" - "the movement is a melding of superhuman leaps and turns and naturalistic gesture...24 Exposures packs a wallop"-San Francisco Chronicle
When will I be home from Small Plates? The performance ends at 7:30pm. You can easily be home by 8pm!
"...a lightning force of energy, smashing technique and a ton of fun. ODC has been jolting audiences out of its lethargy for years." - Contra Costa Times
