Seward Johnson Sculptures Coming to Downtown Pleasanton

The City of Pleasanton will welcome an interactive art exhibit by internationally-known sculptor J. Seward Johnson to sidewalk locations. The eleven life-size, three-dimensional bronze sculptures depict the everyday activities of people who may be found anywhere, from a man reading a newspaper on a park bench and an elderly woman carrying a bag of groceries to a child welcoming a soldier home from duty.
About City of Pleasanton Civic Arts: Civic Arts is a program of the City of Pleasanton Department of Parks and Community Services. Its mission is to provide creative outreach to the citizens of Pleasanton and the surrounding area through opportunities to experience a wide variety of the arts. The program offers an array of classes in many forms of artistic expression for all age groups.
