musicians, Anahit Nercesyan, Soprano, Hrachia Niksalyan, Tenor, and Levon
Abrahamyan, Pianist. The distinguished musicians will perform pieces by
Puccini, Verdi, Tigranian, and Neapolitan popular songs. Prior to the
show, there will be a pre-concert talk about the program, as well as a
photograph exhibit.

Anahit Nercesyan, born in Yerevan, Armenia, received her first musical
award at the age of seven. Her latest award, given at her debut in
Carnegie Hall, was first place in the 2009 Barry Alexander International
Vocal Competition. A high soprano known for her excellent coloratura
technique, Anahit is considered to have a voice that is unique and highly
emotional.

Hrachia Nixalyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. He entered Yerevan's
Komitas Conservatory in 1976 and graduated with honors in 1981. That same
year he became a soloist at the Yerevan State Opera. He has performed
lead roles in Puccini's Tosca, La Boheme, Madama Butterfly, Verdi's La
Traviata, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, and Tchukhajian's Arshak II,
among others.

Levon Abrahamyan has been described as a person who has dedicated his life
to bring the soul of music to his listeners. Born in Cairo into an
Armenian family of musicians, he began piano at age five and by fifteen
was hired as a principal organist at the Mother Cathedral of Holy
Etchmiadzin, Armenia. His love of music eventually led him to the Yerevan
State Opera, where he served in the prestigious position of Opera
Director.
