THE SUMMARY
Who: ANYONE AND EVERYONE WHO CARES ABOUT WATER!
What: A 5k Walk
Where: From Chicago Harbor to Ohio Street Beach. Meet at Buckingham Fountain
When: March 21st between 1:00 and 1:45 pm. We will begin walking at 2pm
Why: TO RAISE AWARENESS AND $5,000 FOR A WELL.

Wear blue or let me know what size T-shirt you would like by e-mailing miss.nothnagel@gmail.com The T-shirts have the walk for water logo and will be sold for $20. I need to know at least 3 weeks before our walk.
Bring a Bucket! Or e-mail me to let me know to bring one for you. They will be available for purchase ($5) and you can decorate your bucket before our walk.
THE LONGER VERSION
In celebration of World Water Day 2010, taking place on the first day of spring,H2O WALK FOR WATER is to be a 5K walk carried out on Sunday March 21st at 2pm in Chicago. Another walk will be talking place at the same date and time in Lyon, France. Please join us for this very fun walk for a great cause! The other walk will be taking place at the same date and time in Lyon, France. It is a symbolic walk from a place beginning with "H" (Chicago Harbor) to a place beginning with "O" (Ohio Street Beach), mirroring the daily trek taken by millions around the globe in order to simply access the water their family needs to survive; this water is often unsafe to drink. The intention of this gesture is to increase awareness of such problems in the lesser developed world, as well as to remind people that our own water supplies are under threat from pollution, over-exploitation and climate-change. A secondary goal of this event is to attempt to raise the money needed to dig a well in one of the most needy areas of the world.
