Amid the "Endless Struggle" of artists trying to get by in the best or the
worst of economic times, we're polishing up our "Disco Ball" to celebrate
a triumph against the tide of empty storefronts and silent spaces here in
San Francisco.
KUNST-STOFF arts opened its doors at 929 Market Street on January 1, 2010
as SF's newest art home for dance with 2,500 square feet of space and a
passion to serve the creative community. Just 3 months later KUNST-STOFF
arts is ready to present work created at this new space by with its First
Annual Gala and performances at Z Space/Theater Artaud. With material
sprawling from the psychological to the spiritual, the meditative to the
ridiculous, the cerebral to the visceral, no stone (or disco ball) will
remain unturned.
2 Gala Evenings (MAR 24-25) feature Bay Area choreographers Sara Shelton
Mann, Kathleen Hermesdorf, Yannis Adoniou, Annie Rosenthal and Andrew Ward
with 3 more performances featuring Yannis Adoniou's KUNST-STOFF (MAR
26-27-28)

a versatile, authentic and creative artist, fully skilled in

demands of our dynamic art form and field.
