Seminar: Industrial Architecture
A series of speakers will address the unique needs of light manufacturing, distribution and warehousing clients. Mr. Ray Anderson, special assistant to Mayor Keith Summey of the City of North Charleston will introduce the series with an overview of economic development in the city. OSHA will present an overview of design standards for safe workplaces and the resources available for designers and builders. The Precast Concrete Institute will discuss the design considerations of precast concrete structures for these types of facilities, with an emphasis on case studies. Nucor Corporation will discuss design strategies using pre-engineered metal buildings.
The Charleston Chapter of CSI is a registered provider with AIA/CES and the program will award 3 Learning Units in HSW. Other professionals will be able to self-report continuing education.
